To reach our campsite, you drive through the small village of La Semnadisse, a typical village of the region called “Creuse”. You will find us on the edge of the village. The last kilometer has signposts.
The camping “la Semnadisse” is idyllically situated in an area of 4.5 hectares with meadows and forests.
The infrastructure is simple, functional and suitable for children.
The best time to travel is May until September. In this period you will find a pleasant temperature and little rain. In summer it can get quite hot, but there is plenty of shade and at night it cools down nicely.
The sanitary
facilities are simple and functional. There are two sanitary blocks with
toilets, washbasins and hot showers. Our specialty are two outdoor
showers: you can look at the stars while showering. A
washing machine (for a fee) and three refrigerators are available.
There are several
playgrounds with swings, seesaws and much more for children. The children also
like to organize spontaneous games in the meadows or play hide and seek in the
woods.
We offer two football tables, table tennis, darts, a small library and a shed full of toys.
A stream flows right next to the campsite into our natural swimming lake. Thanks to the shady oak trees, there is no toxic blue algae. The lake is fed from groundwater which supplies sufficient water even in dry summers. The temperature is pleasantly cool. The water is clean, but the falling leaves from the trees naturally make it a bit cloudy. Also because there is little agriculture in the Creuse, the water quality is good.
The stream and waterfall are a great place for small
children to play and build dams.
Guests are allowed to light fires in fire bowls which we provide. There are also two communal BBQ areas.
The café and the sanitary building next to it are
wheelchair accessible. Some wheelchair users even drive to the lake; otherwise just talk to us, we can help out with our electric quad.
